Ahhhhh. Blow. Nose Candy. Bumps. Rails. Pow-pow. No matter what you call it, musicians and fans have been drawn to the power of the powder for years. Whether you're Neil Young wanting a little pick-me-up on the day of The Last Waltz, on European Tour with Bob Dylan in 1966 or on tour with George Harrison in 1974, or writing songs like the Dead and Eric Clapton, cocaine is one way to keep the creative juices flowing and the energy to play night after night in front of crowds of people. These White Magic 8 Balls represent cocaines influence on music throughout its history.

Unfortunately, the original acrylic on canvas paintings were lost out of the back of a pickup truck when traveling to their final location in Oahu, HI. HMU if you're interested in a second run of these paintings.

Sometimes the edge of a painting will grab me, sometimes a corner. And it will attempt to wrap me up, often succeeding and suffocate me,
and then spit me out.

Some would say art is from within, you know, a spiritual thing. I don't buy that crap, not for a single second. I would have to say art is from without. A painting is like life,
not your life, not my life. In fact, not life at all.

What to expect

After my 10 year hiatus, my newer painting style will still incorporate crafted color theory and modern flat design, but with more detail in both shape, form, and color, than ever before. The subject matter will include musician portraits, band and song themes, and to hold true to mockingbird instinct, mashups of other visual artists on the music scene.
